Training Policies
Blackbaud University Policies
General Policy

All training materials are the intellectual property of Blackbaud.

Distribution and/or reproduction of the materials is strictly prohibited.

Audio, video, or screen capture of the training is strictly prohibited.

Instructor-led training will be conducted either onsite, or remotely using an online delivery tool such as Microsoft Teams. No hybrid training or delivery across multiple modalities is allowed.

All credits for purchased public and private training will expire twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
-
Unprofessional behavior or speech may result in removal from the session or chat at the discretion of the facilitator.
Important Information Regarding Training Environments For Raiser’s Edge and Financial Edge Classes:

You must select the Blackbaud University sample database to complete your training.
-
If you select your production database to complete this training, you may make irreversible changes to your database. You acknowledge that you are responsible for selecting the Blackbaud University sample database for your training and that Blackbaud is not responsible for any changes you make to your production database if you fail to select the Blackbaud University sample database for your training.
General Attendance Policy
-
To be considered as Attended, students must individually register, attend, and actively participate in 90% of the session.

To provide a seamless training experience for all learners, every student must join at or before the scheduled start time. Failure to do so may result in a student not receiving credit for the class.

A course must be marked as Attended in order to earn Continuing Education credit for either CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) or CPE (Continuing Professional Education) accreditation. No partial-session credits will be granted. For additional information on Continuing Education credits visit the Continuing Education page.
General Cancellation Policy
Instructor-Led Online Events

A cancellation or postponement of an enrollment in an online instructor-led event may be made with no penalty up to 30 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled training.

A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled online instructor-led event made within 30 minutes prior to the start time of the scheduled training will be deemed a “no-show”. No-shows for confirmed registrations will be eligible for a refund. Cancellation or postponement from a class can be managed within your transcript (login required) by clicking the “Change Session” or “Unenroll from the course” link.

Personalized Remote Trainings

A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled remote training date may be made with no penalty up to five (5) business days prior to the start of the scheduled training.

A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled remote training date made within five (5) days prior to the first day of the scheduled training will be assessed 100% of the total cost of the scheduled remote training.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your remote training, please submit a Blackbaud University Support Ticket and we will get back to you within 1 business day.

Personalized Onsite Trainings

A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled onsite training date may be made with no penalty up to ten (10) business days prior to the start of the scheduled training.
- A cancellation or postponement of a scheduled onsite training date made within ten (10) days prior to the first day of the scheduled onsite training will be assessed 100% of the total cost of the scheduled onsite training.

Blackbaud Learn® Subscriptions

Blackbaud Learn Subscriptions include access to self-paced training and specific public instructor-led training for your organization, per Learn license terms.
-
Blackbaud reserves the right to add, delete, and modify courses in the Blackbaud Learn offers and tiers.
-
Learn Subscription consumption may not exceed the lesser of fifty (50) individual students or the Learn user license tier terms for the duration of the contract period.
- Instructor-led training is available in the Learn More and Learn Everything tiers only.
-
Customers may not exceed more than four (4) students in a single instructor-led training.
-
Learn is an auto-renewable Subscription, billed annually in advance.
-
The term of the Subscription commences on the day the agreement is executed and continues for the duration set forth in the agreement.
Private Training
-
Private training classes that exceed fifteen (15) students in a session are subject to additional fees.
-
Training will be delivered only to the employees of the organization named on this contract. No outside parties are allowed to attend private training.
-
Private training may require the use of the customer’s software environment.
-
Private training agendas must be finalized two weeks prior to a confirmed engagement. If changes to the agenda are made during the two weeks prior to the scheduled training, the engagement will be rescheduled for a later date based on instructor availability.

Instructor travel expenses as part of a fixed price training engagement are included in the training purchase price and will not be invoiced separately upon training completion.
- Instructors will follow the Blackbaud travel policy in booking travel accommodations.
Other Policies
Training Event Schedules
Class schedules are subject to change without notice based on minimum attendance requirements. Check class schedules frequently at BlackbaudU Campus.
Blackbaud may cancel scheduled classes up to three (3) days for instructor-led online events, if certain attendance minimums are not met. In most instances,
a minimum of five (5) attendees per class is required for a class to be held.
All available seats are distributed on a first come first served basis.
Refund Policy
Except for the cancellation policy described above, all payments and fees are nonrefundable.
It is expected that students will assess the appropriateness of a training event by reviewing the course descriptions and schedules in advance of purchase or registration.
