Blackbaud Releases Guide to Help Social Good Organizations Reinvigorate Fundraising
In 2020, the majority of social good organizations were forced to make changes to their fundraising strategy, but many came to realize that the changes worked surprisingly well or were long overdue.
We’ve seen time and time again over the past year that change brings opportunity. The opportunity to eliminate time-wasting events, the opportunity to focus on health equity and the community, and the opportunity to convert new “COVID donors” into long-term supporters are just a few that come to mind.
In this spirit, Blackbaud has launched a new guide, Change Your Outlook: A Guide to Reinvigorate Your Fundraising, to help nonprofits explore ways to reinvent and expand their fundraising to stay relevant, productive and sustainable.
This guide provides:
- Ideas for using data and analytics to reinvigorate strategic planning and show the value of philanthropy
- Ways to identify the capacity of an existing database and determine areas for strategic growth
- Strategies to refocus on the lifetime value of supporters to better reach potential
- A worksheet to evaluate organizations’ online fundraising strategies and determine tactics for improving online engagement, online giving, and email communication
“When nonprofits use data to drive their fundraising strategies, they grow their impact,” said Liza Turcotte, senior principal solution engineer, Blackbaud. “This guide encourages fundraisers to take a fresh look at their strategies and the role data plays. No matter the size or sophistication of the organization, there are ideas that can be implemented right now to increase revenue.”
Blackbaud’s combination of reliability, expertise and innovation uniquely positions the company to partner with nonprofits ready to implement a data-driven strategy. Using Blackbaud’s intelligence capabilities, powered by the world’s largest philanthropic data set, nonprofits gain valuable insight to their most likely donors. Powered by unmatched giving, wealth and consumer data, Blackbaud’s predictive models identify an organization’s most likely donors and a target gift range.
Making the change to data-driven fundraising is an opportunity, and opportunity changes lives. Together, we can rethink change.
