Blackbaud is Uplifting Black British and Female Authors in Honor of Black History Month in the UK
In observance of Black History Month in the UK this October, Blackbaud is excited to celebrate the rich heritage and culture of the black diaspora across the UK. This time of celebration uplifts the fundamental impacts that black people of African and Caribbean descent have made to British society for centuries.
The 2024 theme for Black History Month in the UK is “Reclaiming Narratives”. This theme marks a significant shift towards recognizing and correcting the narratives of Black history and culture in the UK. It emphasizes taking control of the stories, celebrating the heritage, and ensuring Black voices are heard. As part of our observance, we are highlighting a handful of Black British female authors who are shaping the world of literature with their powerful narratives and novels about Black heritage, race, multinational cultures, identity, diverse experiences, and more.

At Blackbaud, we believe that reflecting on observances like Black History Month and others helps us learn and grow together. Understanding the diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences within our workforce strengthens us and helps drive our mission to fuel impact for millions of customers worldwide.
We would like to wish all of our customers and employees in the UK a Happy Black History Month!
