Blackbaud Employees Celebrate Pride Month

In June, cities across the US and Canada will kick off celebrations for Pride Month, which is acknowledged in communities around the world at varying times of the year. We’re proud to be observing with our colleagues all month long!

Pride Month is a time to uplift LGBTQIA+ voices, to celebrate the culture, and to honor those who have paved the way for equal rights. However, it’s also crucial to acknowledge that despite progress, there are still challenges faced by LGBTQIA+ communities globally. We recognize those who continue to fight for equality, and we acknowledge the importance of advocating for human rights and dignity for all individuals.

We’ll be observing Pride Month with a series of employee-led activities designed to educate, inspire, and foster meaningful dialogue across our company. Employees will have opportunities to attend a special luncheon to kick off the month, participate in Color Week—employees wear a different color of the Pride flag each day to learn more about what that color represents in the LGBTQIA+ community, volunteer to write encouraging notes of affirmation for isolated LGBTQIA+ elderly, hear from guest speakers, and more!

We’re excited about these opportunities for learning and reflection and to continue our collective mission of building a respectful, valued, and inclusive community for all employees.
