K-12 Advisory Board

Seth A. Hurd serves as Berwick Academy’s Director of Information Systems and Financial Controller.  An alumnus of the Academy (‘90), he returned in 2001 to serve in different capacities in the Business Office, Technology Office, serving as the Director of Operations, Director of Visual and Performing Arts, teaching chorus and theater, directing music theater as well as in his current role.  Concurrent with all of these roles, he has been consistently passionate and directly involved with the leadership of information systems.

He holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of New Hampshire with an emphasis on choral conducting and organ performance as well as a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.   He went on to pursue post-graduate training in interfaith studies and was ordained in the rabbinical tradition by the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine (ChIME).

Seth lives in Acton, Maine with his wife, Terry and enjoy their proximity to both the seacoast and the mountain regions.  When he is not focused on database and business office work, he can be found spending time hiking, sitting on the beach and performing with the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra (Portsmouth, NH).
