Kathy Steinman is the Director of Institutional Research at New Canaan Country School, a Pre-K through Grade 9 independent day school in New Canaan, Connecticut. Since 2009, Kathy has played pivotal roles in independent schools, contributing to financial aid, admissions, enrollment management, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.

A data-driven leader, Kathy has developed a robust infrastructure of Power BI workbooks, enabling her school’s teams to make informed, strategic decisions. She has also been instrumental in advancing the school’s enrollment, financial aid, and DEI strategies by optimizing existing systems and adopting innovative tools. As a DEI Facilitator, she is committed to fostering a culture of equity and inclusion.

Earlier in her career, Kathy served as Vice President of Derivative Operations at AIG Trading Group, where she honed her analytical expertise and leadership skills.
