As the Executive Director of Information and Learning Technology at Greenwood College School, Tepper led the development of a technology strategy that aligned with the school’s vision for personalized learning. This included a BYOD model, empowering students to take ownership of their learning by choosing their device and ensuring they had the necessary software and resources, enhancing the personalized learning experience.
To support the whole student, Tepper advocated for a mobile-free school, focusing on laptops. This aimed to improve student well-being by reducing anxiety and minimizing distractions. With social works, communications, and teachers, he collaboratively launched a well-being website providing students with access to one-on-one counseling and resources.
At Greenwood, Tepper spearheaded a move to a single platform to automate and integrate processes, increasing efficiency for operations and allowing teachers to focus on students and teaching. He is a strong advocate for data-driven decision-making to enhance learning outcomes. He presented “Greenwood – Data Driven Conversations around Complex Issues” at a leadership conference, showcasing how data analysis led to strategic decisions such as increasing the adoption of Google Workspace, personalizing learning, and optimizing learning spaces and co-teaching practices to maximize student engagement.
Tepper is a recognized leader in educational technology, curious about the intersection of technology and school leadership. He has presented at conferences, workshops, and been interviewed for publications. He enjoys family, friends, travel, and endurance sports, including completing two Ironman triathlons and training for his third.
