Cheryl Costello is a dedicated professional with a passion for utilizing technology to enhance education. With a Master’s in Education and a background in information technology, Cheryl joined Miss Porter’s School in 2018 as a Blackbaud Applications Specialist. In March 2019, she was promoted to the position of Director of Information Technology, where she works closely with the school community to ensure that technology is being used appropriately and efficiently to meet all the needs of the faculty, staff, and students. Cheryl provides support and training for school departments using Blackbaud products, particularly Education Management, Financial Edge NXT, and Raiser’s Edge NXT. She is committed to using technology to enhance education and drive student success.
Cheryl has served on two Connecticut Association of Independent Schools commissions- the Commission on Technology (2010 – 2015), followed by the Commission on School Growth & Collaboration (2018), where she currently serves as the chair. In 2021, she was awarded the Crisp Chair for Information Technology. Cheryl lives in Connecticut with her husband, Martin, and their dog, Toby.
