Austin Ewachiw (pronounced EE-Wok-Que) returned to Calvert Hall, his alma mater, in 2006 to join a growing technology department. At that time, the school was eager to deploy a new website and improve the school’s digital infrastructure in accordance with its mission and technology plan.

He was the project lead for the school’s adoption of Blackbaud’s Total School Education Management and NXT cloud solutions, consolidating several campus systems. As the school’s Director of Technology, Austin’s most recent priority has been all aspects of campus security, both physical and digital.
Austin has actively attended the K-12 and bbcon tech conferences since 2008, presenting on occasion. His strongest product advocacy has been with integrations and utilizing open standards like LTI and OneRoster. Learn more via this Customer Spotlight.
