Blackbaud CRM Transforms UofL’s Advancement Operations, Lays Foundation for 10-Year Plan and Beyond
The University of Louisville migrated its legacy advancement CRM system to Blackbaud CRM to digitally transform their advancement operations and beyond, gaining a more comprehensive view of constituent data and setting in place a long-term, flexible platform to support future strategic initiatives over the next 10+ years.

Big Wins with Easier Access to Information and Automation
Prior to Blackbaud CRM, Advancement Services resorted to manual, timeconsuming processes to provide staff with information to guide decisions and strategy. Now, staff look to standard reports and dashboards to provide timely, one-click access to information to inform decisions and strategy. The team also made big gains in automating many daily advancement processes with Blackbaud CRM. “We’re all excited about the easy access to information to help inform our decisions and also the automation of workflows for our users in key areas like gifts, records, major gifts and stewardship to help drive efficiencies,” Wentworth said.
Intuitive Customization Options
Blackbaud CRM’s ability to be easily customized, configured, and integrated with third-party reporting tools (UofL uses Microsoft® PowerBI®) will improve operational efficiency and reduce the burden on Advancement Services for
report and data requests from various units. “The UofL Advancement IT team developed a handful of customizations that were unique to our way of doing business,” said Wentworth. “The customization and configuration processes in
Blackbaud CRM, using industry standard tools, are very intuitive and easy to learn for our staff. Once set up, it offers our end users with a self-service toolset they have never had before.”
