Speaker Overview Thank you for your interest in speaking at Blackbaud’s annual Conferences. These events provide excellent platforms for expert speakers to share their knowledge.
The main goal of our Conferences is to provide a worthwhile experience for attendees to learn, network, and have fun. From past surveys, we know the one way we can accomplish this goal is to offer educational sessions related to topics that resonate with the nonprofit community — and we need your help to make it happen!

About the Sessions Sessions are divided into tracks so that the attendees can focus on their areas of interest. Some tracks are related directly to Blackbaud technology, while others are developed around nonprofit issues. A sample of popular topics include accountability, stewardship, Internet trends, giving patterns, marketing, financial management, prospecting and analysis, reporting, and much more!
About the Attendees Our attendees are the heart of our Conferences. Here are facts about the people who may attend your session:
- Attendees come from across the United States and Canada.
- They represent a variety of nonprofit organizations. (The largest percentage of attendees are from the healthcare and education sectors.)
- They hold an array of job titles including database administrators, development directors, marketing professionals, finance officers, and executive directors (to name a few).
What we’re looking for from speakers
- Expertise
We're looking for vision, inspiration, knowledge sharing, lessons learned, and key take-aways that can be applied by others.
- Energetic Delivery
We'd like your 75-minute session to have an interactive approach if possible (we'd like you to involve attendees instead of just present to them), and ample time for Q&A.
- Commitment to Respond
Our attendees expect our speakers to carry the learning and networking beyond the event, so be be prepared to respond to questions after the session.
- Participation in Event
To the extent that you can, we encourage speakers to attend the entire event. As a thank you for presenting, you will be given a complimentary registration, and you'll be considered a full Conference attendee (travel and lodging expenses will not be covered).
