Oaks Christian School Oaks Christian School Uses Blackbaud’s Total School Solution™ To Enhance Communications with Parents
Opened in 2000, Oaks Christian School is an independent, college preparatory day school in Thousand Oaks, California, serving grades 6 through 12. The school, which offers a rigorous academic program combined with athletics, the arts and a Christian worldview, is dedicated to preparing its students’ “minds for leadership and hearts for service."
The Challenge:
Oaks Christian School needed to cut costs associated with frequent parent mailings and, at the same time, increase communications with parents.
The Solution:
Oaks Christian School deployed the online components of Blackbaud’s Total School Solution, which was already being used in the admissions and registrar’s office to manage student information, to enrich its website.
The Results:
By implementing the online components of Blackbaud’s school solution, the school was able to provide parents quick access to key information such as grades, progress reports, and report cards. With a successful marketing campaign behind them and more than 90 percent of parents now relying on the site as a central resource, the Oaks Christian School community is better able to connect all the people who have a stake in the successful education of each student.
