Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing Northwest Lions Foundation Uses Blackbaud Solutions To Integrate Financial Management and Fundraising
Founded in 1969, the Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing has become the nation’s leading eye bank by working with 300 Lions Clubs across the northwest to provide more than 26,000 corneas for sight-restoring transplants.
The Challenge: The Northwest Lions Foundation for Sight and Hearing needed an integrated software solution that would align its finance and development offices and give them a clear view of the organization. For example, from 1997 to 2003, the Foundation’s annual budget grew from $1 million to $5 million, and the staff needed to create more detailed financial reports that could provide key stakeholders with critical information of the organization’s financial health and programs.
The Solution: The Northwest Lions Foundation chose The Raiser’s Edge® and The Financial Edge™ to track donor relationships, handle financial reporting, and provide the holistic view of data their stakeholders required.
The Results: The Foundation has streamlined its operations to dramatically enhance reporting capabilities, better manage donor relationships, and improve data accuracy. Additionally, the staff has been able to save two weeks a year simply by streamlining the production of reports and another 100 hours a year by eliminating manual data reentry
